Esta gravação foi-nos enviada por alunos do Lyceum Obolon, escola parceira do Agrupamento no âmbito da nossa colaboração internacional. São jovens como os nossos alunos, com sonhos, projetos e vontade de aprender, mas cuja realidade diária continua a ser marcada pela guerra.
Enquanto muitos de nós adormecemos em segurança, há quem passe as noites entre sirenes, explosões e a esperança de que o dia seguinte chegue.
Na nossa escola convivem alunos de diferentes nacionalidades, culturas e histórias de vida. Alguns conhecem esta realidade apenas pelas notícias. Outros viveram-na na primeira pessoa.
Hoje, não queremos falar de política. Queremos falar de pessoas.
Que este som nos recorde o valor da paz, da liberdade e da dignidade humana e nos inspire a nunca ficar indiferentes ao sofrimento de quem é obrigado a viver em guerra.
Porque a educação também se faz de memória, de empatia e da capacidade de cuidar uns dos outros.
Obrigado aos alunos do Lyceum Obolon por partilharem connosco a sua realidade e por continuarem a acreditar que a educação, o diálogo e a cooperação entre escolas podem aproximar pessoas e construir esperança, mesmo nos momentos mais difíceis.

What you are about to hear is not a sound effect. It is not the soundtrack of a movie.
It is the sound that, for thousands of children, young people and families, means fear, uncertainty and the urgent need to seek shelter.
This recording was sent to us by students from Lyceum Obolon, our partner school as part of our international collaboration. They are young people just like our own students, with dreams, ambitions and a desire to learn, yet their daily lives continue to be shaped by war.
While many of us go to bed in safety, others spend their nights listening to air raid sirens and explosions, hoping they will live to see the next morning.
Our school is home to students from many different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. Some know this reality only through the news. Others have experienced it firsthand.
Today, we do not want to talk about politics.
We want to talk about people.
May these sounds remind us of the value of peace, freedom and human dignity, and inspire us never to become indifferent to the suffering of those forced to live through war.
Education is also about remembering, showing empathy and caring for one another.
Our sincere thanks to the students of Lyceum Obolon for sharing their reality with us and for continuing to believe that education, dialogue and cooperation between schools can bring people together and keep hope alive, even in the most difficult times.
